		<description>The big problems with the "click here" link phenomenon is that it makes the page unscannable by users. Users do not read, they scan. You have to say exactly where the link is going to take you in the first few words. 

Google for eye-tracking studies and writing for the web. Both will support your claim that it is a bad idea.

I'm sure that Jakob Nielson will have information on both. If I remember correctly, his site is useit.com.</description>
